Challenge
The project demanded structural steelwork of high geometric complexity, produced and installed within a programme that left no room for sequencing delays or rework. Coordinating across multiple trades in a constrained, active urban construction site required absolute precision from design through to placement. The structural steel package had to integrate seamlessly with the wider build, perform to exacting tolerances and meet the uncompromising standards of a landmark public infrastructure project.
Solution
Lighthouse Engineering engaged early in the design phase, developing accurate 3D models and coordinating connection geometry with the project team before fabrication commenced. Structural elements were fabricated across our Wangara facilities with QA hold points applied throughout the production process. Every component was checked against design intent before leaving the workshop, protecting programme certainty during the critical on-site steel placement phase and ensuring a clean, efficient installation.
Outcome
We successfully fabricated and installed the full structural steel package, delivering to programme on one of Perth’s most watched construction projects. Our ISO-certified quality systems ensured every weld, connection and structural element met specification. The station is now operational and serving the Perth community, with professional photography of the completed structure available.
